I think he would enjoy the remix. Any writer would love knowing that their work went on to be such an important literary piece.One that is still being discussed today.

Agbabi discusses the pilgrimage, but the motivation seems to be different. The cause for the travelers is more about having fun instead of looking for a spiritual meaning.

I found Beowulf difficult. I had to reread it several times and use the notations to help me understand it.

I was surprised at the vivid imagery that I had reading about soldiers from the perspective of the mud, The Song of the Mud.

I think comparing the different text gave me a variety of perspectives and helped me learn the most about the topic.

Chaucer ideas: It is spring time, and the people are ready for a pilgrimage. He uses rythm and rhyme

Agbabi ideas: April is a time to have fun and romance. She uses rhyme, rhythm, and vivid imagery.

She values his style of using couples and rhyme. She honors it by using that style herself.

I think the remix suggests that the elements of rhythm, rhyme, and imagery are important elements of poetry. Chaucer and Agbabi both use these elements to convey their meaning.

I do agree that it is unfinished business. Canterbury tales outed the unsavory and pride worthy characteristics of people from all walks of life. That is a tale that is never ending.

A group of barons rose against King John and changed history. The King continued to demand higher taxes to pay for the loss of land and people in the war against France.
